Thoughts on things.

I was watching a show about David Suzuki and how he should be nominated as the Greatest Canadian. It was a very interesting show, actually I'm watching it right now. Anyways, there was this one clip where he had said that we, as humans, are fruit flies.
I need clarification: was he high when he said this or are we actually, in fact, those little tiny bugs that hide in fruit that's lying around on the kitchen counter? If I had known I was a fruit fly 5 years ago I would have done things A LOT differently.
