Christmas

I don't know why this is, but I don't wish anyone a Merry Christmas. I'm self-conscious about it. And if I do say it I'm sure someone will yell at me and I'm not comfortable with that. I hate it when people yell at me. It scares me, so do squirrels. I'm terrified of them. I think they are plotting against humans and will attack when we least expect it, but I'm telling you, I'm expecting it. When I walk through the park to go to the subway and I see them in their little hind-leg stance with their acorns in their mouths, they are waiting, and staring at me.

p.s. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Construction

I recently moved out of an area where there were two large condominiums being built, and into a much quieter and residential area. Or so I thought. The park that is right next to building had news for me:
"Construction on this park is set to begin Summer 2009."

balls!

Moving Day

With mediocre planning and pre-packing I would say that our moving day was kind of a disaster. Let me explain to you why this is so.

1. After waiting an hour in a line (that didn't move) at a place where incompetence is their motto, I found myself angry and frustrated. So I called another place (1 block from where our apartment was) and located ourselves a van. Hooray!

2. Elevators not working in new place so we had to shuttle people to the sub-basement so they could recycle their garbage, and then other times we had to shuttle people up to their apartment with their groceries. My favourite part was when the 86 year old lady came down 3 flights of stairs to yell at us about the elevator. She was going to the booze store.

3. The devil couch. It wouldn't fit in the elevator, and we weren't about to carry it up 15 flights of stairs to find out it wasn't going to get into our front door. So we left it in the lobby. Cut to next morning, we're putting the couch in my parents' van. Someone (who will remain nameless) began to shut the rear door and it shattered because the couch was not in fully. Matt and I then proceeded to drive the van, sans window, to Mississauga, talk about chilly! I feel bad for Matt, he had to drive all the way to Barrie. He was an ice cube.

When all is said and done, we have moved in and unpacked, for the most part, and I'm really liking the apartment. Much quieter and a great location!

Talk soon.
